What is an event QR code?
An event QR code stores a calendar entry in the iCalendar (VEVENT) format. Scanning it lets someone add the event — title, time, location and description — to their calendar in a couple of taps.
How to create one
Enter a title and start time; add an end time, location, description and URL as needed. Toggle All-day event for date-only entries. We validate that the end isn't before the start, build a standard VEVENT, and can export a .ics file as well as the QR code.
Time zones
Times are encoded from your input. If your audience spans zones, state the time zone in the title or description to avoid confusion, since calendar apps interpret floating times in the local zone.
Where to use it
Add event codes to invitations, posters, webinar landing pages and conference badges so attendees never miss the date.
Privacy and security
Event details are assembled locally and never uploaded. The code is static, so the event details are fixed once generated.
Limitations
Recurring events and attachments aren't included in this simple format. If details change, you'll need to reissue the code.

What is an .ics file?
It is a standard calendar file. Download it to import the event directly into calendar apps like Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Can I make an all-day event?
Yes. Enable the All-day option and the event is encoded as a date without a specific time.
How are time zones handled?
Times use the values you enter and are read in the scanner's local zone. Mention the intended time zone if attendees are in different regions.
